Oftentimes, observation and assessment are considered difficult by those just beginning to attempt them. However, observation is a simple activity and using your notes for assessments provides a wealth of information that makes your job as a teacher and caregiver easier.  This introduction class is focused on developing skills for beginners in the area of observing and assessing, for all age groups. This class will provide the participant the opportunity to self-assess current skills, practice new skills, and make a plan for improvement.

Group time in a preschool environment can be a very important learning time.  This interactive, fast-paced class uses a combination of individual, small group, and large group activities to focus on how to make the most of this part of the day.  Participants will leave with an understanding of the standards of quality, a large material and questions list, practice making lesson plans to ensure success, and an improvement plan to use when they leave class.

What do you say?  Small groups ideas will be shared, as well as a time to practice and gain feedback.  You will leave this class with ideas to implement right away.

 

Social/Emotional Health
